Where is the Love?

One world.  One truth.  Love.  Peace.  Vision.  Values of humanity.  Fairness and equality.  Unity. “If you never know truth, you never know love.”

UNITY.  In mathematics, the word unity is defined as “the number one.”  When we create and experience Unity, we are experiencing life as one whole.  One truth.  One love.  We have joined together as 1.

Where is the love?  It is within us to give and share.  Freely.  It is outside of us to accept.  It is all around to embrace and to join with another and create 1.

How awesome is this?  To have the freedom to create unity with another? toaster oven

Respect

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Every time I hear these two songs roll up on my iPod, I feel good.  It is such a great feeling when you respect yourself and respect others.  Google’s “define: respect” is as follows:

RESPECT: (verb) admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

What a gift it is to freely and openly exchange respect with others.   toaster oven

Collaboration. It’s the Everything that creates Something.

Helen Keller wrote these beautiful words: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Here is Google’s “define: collaboration“: the action of working with someone to produce or create something

I like the openness of this definition.  I like the creativity for which the word something allows.  It provides Choice.  The something can be good or bad.  Mindful or careless.  Happy or tragic.  Loving or selfish.  Beautiful or stunted.

Life, at times unfortunately, allows for both.  But this duality gives us Choice.  To dream.  To build.  To create.  To collaborate.  To experience.  In my ideal world, I am opting for good, mindful, happy, loving, beautiful.  And then some.  Having this Choice leads me to consciously and unconsciously create and allow ways for these intentions to collaborate and build something that is bigger than the human spirit.  Bigger than what I could ever do on my own.  I want Positive.  This is the direction in which I want my life to travel.  And I want to travel with those who believe this same thing.  It makes life such a fun adventure.toaster oven

This OK Go video is awesome.  It is a creative masterpiece of collaboration.  I hope that you have fun watching this!

And here is a link to an article that describes the video’s selfless and fantastic motivation of helping needy animals:

There are many behind-the-scenes videos and outtakes as well.  It is all just so fanciful.  I hope you enjoy this creativity!  I always feel so good after I watch this testimony to collaboration.  🙂

All we need is love.

All we need is love.  How many problems or challenges could be solved if only love were present?  How great would life feel if we could experience love everyday?  True love.

Some believe that to define True Love ruins its purity.  I understand this sentiment, but I am a researcher and I want to know what others think, feel, perceive, and believe about Love . . . I want to grow my awareness of expressing True Love.

“Perhaps it’s because true love has different meanings for different people. Dr. Neder defines true love as caring about the health, well-being and happiness of another person to a greater degree than your own health, well-being and happiness.”

“Christiane Northrup, M.D. says “True love is when you care enough for another person to allow them the space and time they need to become all they can be.”

“Kathlyn Hendricks, Ph.D,. and Gay Hendricks, Ph.D., say that true love occurs when you shift from unconscious commitment to conscious commitment. . .  Conscious commitment . . . means that you reveal your true self to your partner and support your partner through thick and thin.”

Wow.  This is an amazing definition . . . shifting from unconscious commitment to conscious commitment.  I love this sort of thinking — and feeling.  Being mindful of your commitment to another.

“Laurie Moore, Ph.D., says all love comes from an open heart. “When you’re together, it’s open and safe at the same time.”

Open and safe.  Being mindful of your commitment to another.  Unconscious commitment to conscious commitment.  Allowing the other person the space and time they need to become all they can be.  Putting another person’s well-being and happiness above yours.

Higher Ground

higher groundThis is such an awesome video with a very happy and uplifting message.  Plus the collaboration that went into making this recording is an example to me.  It encourages me to go beyond what I perceive to be the self-imposed borders in my life and reach out for creativity and talent and inspiration from others — even strangers.  Collaboration is the Higher Ground for growing  my dreams and expanding my ideas.
